17 days and counting...

so if you've been checking the calendar you've noticed i haven't let up. isn't there a saying like 'everyday and twice on sunday'. well, i did go twice on sunday. i am noticing a huge improvment in my energy level. it takes less caffine to get through the day. i am also noticing my hr decreasing for about the same effort. what i am NOT noticing is a drop in weight. i have been eating like crap the past week but i have started getting back into things. the Tour starts saturday so things for me will start to go quickly.

i ride my trainer while the tour is on every year and hopefully this will lead to some outdoor action. anyways, i'm back on it and ain't gonna get off it... (till i do then i'll just get back on it again)

slight progress...

i can NOW put my socks on WITHOUT holding my ankle. so my flexibility is improving. this is a difference i can see and feel. it may seem like a small thing but it is a quality of life change so it's significant. i don't know if i'll sign up for CDA for next year but i am waiting to see how much i can lose by labor day. if on labor day the loss makes training in january seem feasible i will do it.

toh'UP... all kinds a toh'UP...

ok, so far day 5 is down so i successfully finished the work week by dragging my fat a55 to the gym every morning first thing. so the dilema now is do i take a rest day? right now the answer is hell no. when i can't drag my fat a55 outta bed in the morning and hit an elliptical for 30 mins that will be my day off. hopefully that will be never. how did i guy go from racing mtn. bikes, riding in rallys and competing in triathlons get to the point where he can't put his socks on without holding his ankle on top of his knee with the off hand!!!

fat boy on a diet...

this has gotten completely outta hand. poundage is up to 348. i'm at the any means necessary point. i'm gonna hurt. i'm gonna lose sleep. i'm gonna be very unfortable. but i will win. you have feel good pain (workout, hunger) to avoid bad pain (injury, tight clothes)

heavy d...

the force i excert on the earth due to gravity is increasing. i'm up to 345 and no end is in sight. i keep goin through waves of motivation. and man let me tell you that Texas sun and heat are too oppressive to deal with after work. and i am just not motivated to wake up and go before work. the afternoon workouts for lunch are completely out of the question.

why? because by the time i get done and shower my body heat is still too high so i end up sweating even after my shower. nothing worse to be sitting in sweaty drawz all day long, clean or no. my diet is erratic but i believe i am finding some stable ground. my will power has gotten stronger with these many attempts so that is one of the good things.

if you notice small objects getting caught in my gravitational pull then you know i'm beyond help. i will do this. I MUST, and i will. stay tuned.

ok, so to update yall on what's be going on. on friday i decided to buy some new cycling shoes cuz my old ones are mighty rickety. they have huge holes in the toe area which makes it the only reason my size 45's still fit my size 47 feet. 2 whole sizes?!? that's what 100 extra lbs will do to you.

so i thought that would be enough to get me riding again. but NOOOO, i'm being a lazy ass and eating shit all day long. i am completely off the wagon. i think this is just a stage caused by letting myself get over caffinated this week. i was up to 12 shots of espresso on friday. NOT GOOD. so yesterday i decided to only do half of that. so far so good.

ok so yesterday to go with the whole gotta fit have cycling clothes and technical gear that fits me if i'm going to ride like i should theme, i visited the pearl izumi store. sorry clarence, i had to go to pure clothing store so i could try on a bunch of stuff. to my horror there were some xxxL clothes i couldn't fit in. that's code for drop the twinkie if i ever heard it. the good news is they had 2 outfits on their clearance rack that fit me. 2 pairs of shorts and jerseys. i even picked up a limited edition garmin chipotle/ slipstream jersey for $40!!! i got some socks too.

so the total of all the gear shoes, socks, jerseys, and shorts?!? 700 bones!!! so i guess i am size appropriate now and my wallet is lighter. i just i have to make me lighter now. for now i am just going to wait until i FEEL like riding or working out. i have got to let my motivation catch fire again. IT WILL!!!
