Hang in There Don't Give Up...

this is what i'm telling myself these days. that ex thing really sent into a tailspin. i am realizing now that positive change is just as much emotional as it is mental, with a little spiritual thrown in there for good measure.

on a positive note the sun is out for now and my plum tree is at full bloom for the next 2 days. griffen doesn't like that because will all the bees i have to keep the window completely closed so he can't sniff outside. i might crack it a little. other good news is i have been making progress on my website. don't worry you'll hear all about it when it's released.

i have given myself a pass this week just to collect my emotions and prepare to hit it strong. why am i blogging about this? it's life and in the end i and you will be able to look back and see where i came from. it's a daily challenge.

Cleansing Weekend...

ok, i tried to get it all out this weekend about the ex. i found out some things that really pissed me off and hurt me. but that was IN THE PAST. i have got to strain forward and not get pulled backwards.

i will come up with the ttnw items next week. the problem i had was including 90 programs in there that were too tough for me to complete and that derailled my efforts. so now with the 10 min trainr dvds the workouts are MUCH simpler only 10 moves for 1 minute each on the 5 categories: abs, cardio, lower body, full body, and yoga) so i can adjust it to my taste. like at least do 1 and then if i feel like it do 4. don't be fooled these aren't powderpuff moves. the full body one got my hr up to 185. 10 minutes of boom, boom, boom can get your hr up in a hurry.

i just have to get my mind right and start committing to things again. i know i will and for me it's like 3 steps forward 2 steps back but i am moving forward.

Going OFF...

i am soooo pissed right now. i'll tell you why some day but let me say this. if my ex is reading my blog STOP IT! you are not welcome here. you left me for NO valid reason as far as i'm concerned and left my life in shambles. "why so they can trick me into staying with you" will be the last thing i ever hear coming out of you CRAZY mouth. btw. for all that don't know this is what she said to me when i suggested marriage counseling. "Trick..." that is what you did to me. who agrees to marry someone and then leaves with nothing the other person can do. someone apparently crazy and or confused.

so if you're reading this. just stop it.

now to better and more important things. i will give a separate post later today or tomorrow. i have new ttnw items i'm commiting to.

Uggg...

well i talked to clarence at the duck and he seems to think i'm just gonna have to deal with the saddle sores. Logic: if you didn't have any problems with the seat or handlebars or shorts before and the only thing that changed was your weight... you might just have to deal with it until you drop some lbs.

sounds sad but true. so where am i on that? well i had my last cadbury egg last night. i told myself i will have 4 more easter weekend but i'm not allowing myself to bring any home. i'm not really a chocolate kinda person. i never really eat the stuff until easter season. anyways, i really need to make a major effort at watching the bad stuff.

i'm still waiting for the vids to get here so i can start learning those routines. more to come.

Just Another Day on the Earth...

i am failing the cadbury creme egg test. BIG TIME!!! my record is 5 dozen last easter season. i'm not on pace but there is always that home stretch run so don't count me out. just say NO!!! doesn't seem to be working. i'm an egg-fiend.

well i decided that after this last dozen i bought is done NO MORE. well maybe one more... :^D

my hands and feet feel arthritic after my last ride. so i'm going to have to get the bikes adjusted at the duck soon. other than chocolotey, creamy eggs my diet has been alright. i have been making an effort for healthy breakfasts and lunches. ttyl...

In-cog-negro...

well, well, well. I decided the since the sores weren't bleeding that i would chance a ride on my mtn bike. that was before a HUGE headache i got starting at noon. anyone who thinks caffine isn't addictive should try to go from 2 cups a coffee a day to zero and see what your body does. after 2 redbulls (sugar free) and 4 advil at about 4pm the headache was gone. i think a lil of it was to do with tension in my neck and head from the crunches/pushups.

anywho, i hit the road at 530pm. while on river legacy i rode past and waved to an old bulgarian aquaintance elena. i haven't seen her since end of 06. i was 250 then. point is she didn't recognize me. so i turned around and called her name. she took a minute and said "hey, not to be rude, but i remember you being a lot thinner" i laughed and said yeah. she said what happened. i said my ex happened. she kept saying well you need to get back in shape and get out there. and i said what do you think i'm doing right NOW? good point she said.

bottom line is i have had it. i have started eating better breakfast lunch and dinner. i have reduced my fast food intake by half and am eating home cookin. i had a spinach, onion, mushroom and tomatto omlette with whole bran pancakes yesterday and i forgot how good it tasted. its supposed to turn to bad weather this week so we'll see what kind of workouts i'll do. i expect those 10 min dvds to arrive so i suspect i will start those. stay tuned...

Noone on the Corner has Swagga Like US...

unfortunately its cadbury creme egg season. this is so much of a weakness for me it could be called an addiction. whats the cure... one more egg... just one more...

i did my 100 pushups and 200 crunches and 50 and 100 yesterday. i doubt i will do them tomorrow. i am so sore all over i feel sick. so i will take daylight savings day and rest... an hour less of it. i suppose when it's 7pm the temp is 77 and i still have an hour of sun on a wednesday i will appreciate the 3 week early time change. but for all us NON lifelong swimmers it's gonna be hard getting ready for work when it's dark outside.

the non-swimmer comment is cause i know from high school to masters swimming practice usually starts 5:30-6am. dunno why that is but it seems universal. i feel pukey from all those reps. but i ahve been working keeping the diet managable. so far so good. more to come later.

Saddle Sore Big Time...

wow, i mean there's blood and everything. not to get too graphic but wow. i did ride the moots ybb and not the mootour compact figuring the extra cushyness would help. and it did. i actually got a good leg workout from it. some highschool jackholes decided to slow down and yell some profane statements about me riding (on the sidewalk?) and toss some liquid at me. thankfully all i heard was the f'word because of the iPod and they weren't professional liquid tossers cuz they missed by a mile.

so other than that... i had i decent ride. i am no where near the shape i need to be in or have the crotch tolerance to take the ybb off road. but as the lbs come off i will. i can tell you that this weekend i will be doing 100 pushups and 200 crunches a day. not all in one sitting but i will get them done because i can't ride and i have to let the nether regions heal. today i plan on doing half of that total after work this way i will be good and total body worked out.

on the lunch front. i have been going to long john silvers everyday. and man let me tell you their new healthy meals are pretty good. where else can you get fast food grilled tilapia and SALMON? my only concern is that i don't want to burn out on it. i don't think so. and breakfast sadly is still coffee and dinner is up in the air. but i am getting closer to all-around better diet. i am preferring the good stuff now so that's a good thing. time to go BACK to bed and dream of a skinnier and faster me.

N PAIN... well it's not that bad...

first with the current events: T.O. is No Mo Wit Romo n the Boyz. translation: terrell owens is out in dallas. so the monstrosity that i voted for exactly 2.1 miles from my front door known as cowboys stadium will not have TO in it at least not as a Cowboy. Although he was honest most if not all the time, there is a time to keep your mouth shut. a lesson i am still learning myself.

the pain i feel this morning is about my hands n feet riding my bike. i'm just not used to being this size riding. i do believe with more riding and advil this too shall pass.

i was in the duck yesterday on my lunch break which i do about twice a week, and c was showing me this picture of this guy 400lbs and his after pic 13 months later at about 190 planning to do 5 IMs this year. i was like wow!!! but i realized the dude had surgery. that to me is cheating. and i have a feeling for that guy he will relapse. bottom line for me i was 225 not too long ago and now i'm 322 (on the way down) i got here one day at a time and when i succeed i will have done it one day at a time.

Exed n Peed the Niney...

ok, for those who r already in pretty darn good shape AND you like spending an HOUR a day doing dvd work outs. NOT ME. but workouts are good its just not my style. i would almost rather drive to the gym and swim 2 miles than do one workout. it's kinda like that time i bought that treadclimber pos instead of getting better bike. sure it worked but it was gut wrenchingly boring. the problem with the pee 90 vids is that i hate gym workouts and this thing is just apesh1t crazy workouts.

so what i decided to do was to downgrade the vids and go with the 10min trainer workouts by the same people. these are just 4 managable 10min workouts you can do anytime. and that's more of what i need. i want to go for a ride after work and do some training in the morning. but an HOUR... of course not. and there is no way i was going to it after work or give up a ride or do it after a ride so that just left spending an hour after work when the weather is shi77y outside. so, i'm sure i'll be able to muster 10mins either before work or around a ride. that's the plan anyways.

griff is getting on my nerves jumping on the laptop and being a general nuicance so i'm signing off.

I'm Back Writing...

well i haven't felt much like writing and i wasn't going to bore you with "i did this, didn't do that". let's just say i'm throwing last week to the wolves. i didn't do anything i said i was so i just decided to take a break and hit it hard on monday. so i'll be coming up with different ttnw list items this week. my list just got too massive and i just wanted to stop or slow down a bit.

ok, this week i will concentrate on the things i know i can do and not worry about the areas of improvement. for instance, eating at certain times are OUT. if i'm not hungry i'm not going to force it. i will try to reduce caffine intake as well as eliminate sugar. last week that was the ONE thing i did do was get rid of drinking and eating sugar. i will keep this up.

i was watching a tony robbins infomercial yesterday and what it boils down to is one thing...ACTION!!!

smarts, money, fame, good looks, none of these things on their own will get you success. now combine any of them with positive action and now you're one to something. this is what i am seeing and this what i will try to prove out in the coming weeks. so this week i am working out a doable list. and i'll keep you in the loop as to what i'm doing day to day.
