Baseline Stats...

Just to let you all know what my base mileage is starting off. The distance that i can do without hurting afterwards.

Swim: 1 mile. When i'm not in shape i can swim a mile in about 55 minutes and when i am in shape it takes me 45 mins. I my goal is to swim 2.4 in about 1:45 without too much trouble. I was going to swim today but my body is really tired and hurting (joint not muscle pain) so i will be resting as soon as i leave work tonight around 7pm. I promise by next saturday i will get my first swim in. u can hold me to it.

Bike: 40 miles. I can wake up and ride that distance anytime i like. in shape i can do it in 2:15 when i'm out of shape it takes me 3 hours. My goal is to do 112 in 6 hours this is about 19 mph. Doable but ambitious.

Run: [i dont have a base] maybe .25 mile. I am not and never have been a runner. My goal is to finish the run in 6 hours. about 4.3 mph. this is running about 5.0mph and walking 3.5 mph.

This sets me up for a sub 14 hour ironman. This is my goal if i finish in 15 hours or 17 hours (the max time limit) i will be happy. If i wanted to set a personal record i wouldn't be doing CDA i would be doing florida where it's flat.

someone anonymous posted a sarcastic comment about the bacon grease. The story was funny. Constructive comments are welcome but not putting your name on something like that will cause me to turn off anonymous posting altogether. And please be funny when you can. I have a 3 guesses as to who posted it. 1 person that did an ironman 2 that haven't and maybe never will. o Bottom line. the only reason i am sharing what i am doing is to journal my journey. this is MY journey. and there will always be things you can do better in anything you try. If you're waiting for me to be downing protein shakes and drinking egg whites you'll be waiting a long time. but my diet will become more sensible and you guys will have to see in what ways.

Directing you to the stats site for my workout info. Anyways, check out this last november for anyone questioning my ability to commit. If i have anything of note to add today i will but for now i'm done. If you got an email from me telling you about this blog that was because i wanted to share this journey of mine with you.
